Protecting The Woodland

Longholt Wood is a natural burial ground, managed to protect the woodland environment and the wildlife that lives here.

To help us care for this special place, we kindly ask that memorial items left at graves are natural, simple, and in keeping with the woodland environment.

Items that are not suitable for a natural burial ground may be removed in order to protect the woodland environment.

Items We Cannot Allow

Management reserves the right to remove any items which are inappropriate for our environment. Glass will be removed immediately as it is a risk to wildlife and visitors.

All other items will be left under this sign for a period of 4 weeks for collection by owners.

Flowers And Natural Tributes

Please also note that whilst we allow cut flowers, these should be removed and disposed of off-site in a timely manner as they begin to decay.
